The 991 GT3 was controversial in the sense that it only came in PDK. Those looking to row their own gears had to find another Porsche to satisfy their driving experience. Porsche claimed their GT cars were track-focused and performance-focused where lap times were paramount. Where every tenth of a second counts, only the PDK could deliver those results. While the GT3 sold well and allocations were hard to come by, Porsche heard from owners and eventually brought back the manual option in the next GT3 model. This particular GT3 shown here was specially-ordered with no options as a track toy for its owner — to save money and weight.
