2007 Audi RS 4 Sedsan

After careful planning and crafting, Stuttgart Studios is pleased to now offer reproduction Monroney window stickers for B7 Audi RS 4 models for model years 2007 and 2008.  These latest portfolio additions continue to expand the scope of offerings of various European high-performance sports cars and sports sedans and helps us tap into ownership communities previously not engaged.

Creating value-added products and services to automotive enthusiasts, owners, and communities starts with understanding the passion of the people behind the cars — and their desire to showcase the story of their automobile in the most interesting way possible. That’s why Stuttgart Studios has a loyal and repeating customer base, but we’re always looking to establish new footprints in places where that passion is just as strong.  Audi owners fit that description extremely well and there was no better place to start than recreating the legendary B7 RS 4 window stickers for model years 2007 and 2008.

With just over 2,000 cars sold in the USA, the B7 RS 4 remains an uncommon car among even the uncommon European high-performance sports sedan segment.  The car magazines loved it, new buyers loved it, and now the collector car market is loving RS 4’s as well.  Originally priced around $70,000, the market bottomed out around 2017 as there were RS4’s aplenty in the $30,000 range. Today, a good one might set you back $45,000-50,000 with low-mileage, rare colored examples fetching original MSRP or even higher.

Around 90% of RS 4’s came with the Premium Package, while a handful also came with the Titanium Package. In 2008 only, the Exclusive Package was also available — and rarely chosen. It included crimson red seat and door inserts, seat piping, and other red accents throughout the interior cabin.  The cabriolet arrived for MY2008 only and under 200 were sold, making it a rare car within a rare model.  Of the approximately 2,000 RS 4’s produced, only around 500 were sold in 2008.

The window sticker artwork recreation was less of a challenge for the 2007 model, but the 2008 artwork required an extensive reinvention of the large background photo prominently seen on the left side of the sticker.  We’ve tackled many background photos in the past and they all present the same hurdles — the care and dexterity to delete all of the objects and text in front of an original window sticker scanned and imported into the workflow, while redrawing the parts of the background image that were previously covered.  Background photos add 1000-2000% more R&D to the overall reproduction effort, but its imperative to completely recreate the images so they can stand on their own within the workflow. Why? Because the graphics may be used for other models with other standard features or options and parts of the image may or may not be exposed on the window sticker on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis based on configuration.

After reviewing dozens of original Rs 4 Monroneys, several interesting pieces of intel were learned during the recreation process . Like many other manufacturers and models, the RS 4 window stickers enjoyed some modest latitude in format and appearance. Some object elements appeared on some Monroneys but not others, while object positioning and alignment varied considerably based on printer setup, paper alignment, and individual office habits when printing out the window stickers.  After carefully studying all flavors and degrees of incongruity, we settled on a standardized format for our own reproduction that we feel best represents the spirit of the original but also incorporates some minor alignment choices that will make displaying the window stickers cleaner and more appealing. Of course, everything remains period correct.

Finally, Audi was unable to avoid the fat-fingered mistake or syntax error that most other manufacturers fall prey too. We see it often — humans make mistakes and Audi is no different.  For 2008 Sedan models only, the impact bumper statement contains a “?” where an apostrophe should exist — likely from a font encoding error when copying the syntax from another platform to the platform used by Audi to print their Monroneys.  As with all grammatical errors or omissions, we choose to reproduce these oversights for better authenticity and homage to the original.

If you’re a B7 Rs4 Sedan or Cabriolet owner — or own another Audi model that uses one of these window sticker formats — chances are we can build a novelty reproduction window sticker of your vehicle.  Make the first move by filling out our Get Started form and we’ll circle back after reviewing your inquiry!
