Project Description

MODEL: 2003 Porsche 911 GT2
OWNER: Laurence G.

DETAILS:

The GT2 was the first Widowmaker since the venerable 930 — aptly named because the immense power had a tendency to snap loose in the corners when drivers went off-throttle.  At a price point of nearly $200,000, few GT2s moved off the Porsche lots. In the GT2’s favor however was the Mezger engine which had no issues with IMS bearings like the normally-aspirated engine out of the Carrera. Largely bulletproof, they dropped value like a rock after production ended but have since rebounded nicely. Good ones fetch strong money simply because they are difficult to come by.
