Project Description

MODEL: 1995 BMW M3 Lightweight
OWNER: Sam G.

DETAILS:

The LTW was the racing special of the E36 M3 series. Powered by the original S50 3.0L engine (later replaced by the 3.2L in subsequent E36 M3s), the car’s claim to fame was the shedding of weight to improve handling dynamics and overall performance. Mechanically, the LTW differed little from a standard M3, but the weight-savings proved to be a track favorite among weekenders and the M Performance flag graphics on the exterior made for a striking appearance. All LTWs were white, few were built (some say 125), and nearly all command a hefty premium in the current market.
