DETAILS:
The MY2001 M Coupe came with the S52 engine out of the E36 M3. The coupe would inherent the S54 engine from the E46 M3 for 2002 and beyond. Still, the 240 bhp out of the S52 is a sublime powerplant and largely bulletproof under normal maintenance and care. Coupes were sold in low numbers so finding a good one is not easy — especially desired colors such as Estoril Blue or Phoenix Yellow.
