The original Beetle was one of the most successful and iconic cars of all time, and the New Beetle rekindled much of the love affair for the “Bug”. The Turbo S was Volkswagen’s attempt to turn up the volume and make the 2-door platform all it could be. Powered by a 180hp 4-cylinder, the Turbo S was a sleeper and not just just another “cute Mom car”. Only the limited Edition “RSi” making 221hp was faster.
