The two-seat coupe version of the Boxster remained a fan favorite through the 981 body style. A worthy evolution of the 987.1 and 987.2 platforms, the 981 was a bit more aggressive on the outside and added more power and comfort under the skin. Whether used as a track weapon or canyon carver, the Cayman S convinced many customers dead-set on a 911 to change their mind, save some money, and purchase the best-handling car in the Porsche lineup — albeit at a modest loss in overall top-end performance.
