The 918 Spyder was a ground-breaking halo car for Porsche, following in the footsteps of the 959 and Carrera GT. With 887 combined bhp with its gas and electric motors, the 918 set lap records everywhere it went. Ferrari’s LaFerrari and McLaren’s P1 were worthy adversaries and together they were known as the Holy Trinity of hybrid supercars. Despite the other two having more power however and the 918 always feeling like the underdog, it was the 918 that routinely set the fastest lap times in head-to-head comparisons. Originally $850,000, their prices have nearly doubled.
